The history of the enterprise dates back to 1966 when it was established as “Poltava Plant of Synthetic Diamonds and Diamond Tools” following the country’s directive to develop and master the technology of diamond synthesis and diamond tool production.
In 1966, diamond powder was synthesized for the first time at the plant. Within a short period, the plant became the largest producer of grinding and micro-powders of synthetic diamonds in the USSR.
In 1967-1968, the production of a wide range of diamond grinding wheels with organic and metallic bonds was mastered.
Over the years, the enterprise has developed and mastered more than 9,000 types of diamond tools.
In 2001, the quality management system ISO 9001 was implemented at the plant. The effectiveness of our quality management system has been recognized by the leading global company, BUREAU VERITAS Certification.
To thrive in the modern market, after reorganization in 2005, the production of diamond tools was separated into a separate enterprise, PJSC “Poltava Diamond Tools,” which is the successor to the “Poltava Plant of Synthetic Diamonds and Diamond Tools.”
In 2011, the production of high-performance PREMIUM tools for CNC machines was initiated. Thanks to our scientific and production base and the extensive experience of our technologists, the technical characteristics are constantly improved according to customer requirements. In 2017, our products underwent certification for safety compliance according to EN13236 to meet international market standards.
In 2018, the production of diamond dressing rollers for correcting abrasive wheels used in the production of turbine blades, gears, crankshafts, etc., was mastered. Additionally, in 2018, the production of segmented cutting wheels and drills for cutting construction materials, asphalt, refractory materials, and natural stone was started.
All tools are manufactured using modern equipment from Dr. Fritsch. In 2019, the production of CBN grinding wheels with a ceramic bond was mastered.
Today, PJSC “Poltava Diamond Tools” is a modern enterprise specializing in the production of a wide range of diamond and CBN tools for the manufacturing and sharpening of tools made of hard alloys and high-speed steels; grinding and polishing of parts made of hard alloys, heat-resistant, alloyed, and stainless steels, glass, ceramics, silicon, refractory materials, precious stones, and other materials; cutting of products made of hard alloy, glass, marble, granite, quartz, ceramics, and construction materials; drilling of glass and highly reinforced concrete, and more.
