Installation instructions and conditions for avoiding misuse
It is not allowed to install diamond wheels that are not intended for this equipment in terms of technical characteristics: rotation frequency, outer and landing diameters, processed material. It is forbidden to use STM grinding and cutting wheels with cracks on the surface, with flaking of the diamond layer. Before installing the diamond wheel, in order to ensure correct installation and firmness of the fastening, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the contacting base and fastening surfaces from corrosion, dirt, if necessary, clean the surface of the spindle and clamping flanges with a sanding paper. The wheel must be firmly attached to the machine spindle. Installation should be carried out in the direction of rotation indicated on the end. The circle should be brought to the workpiece smoothly, avoiding blows and jolts. In the process of work, it is recommended to use the wheel on one machine with one set of clamping flanges and use it without removing and reinstalling until it is completely worn out. For safe grinding, it is necessary to subject the wheel to a test for the strength of the layer-to-body connection by subjecting the wheel to rotation at idle (no load) for 3-5 minutes.
When using diamond wheels, you should follow the basic rules:
– the wheels should be installed on mandrels and flanges, from which they should not be removed until they are completely worn out.
– the tool must be carefully prepared for work and firmly fixed on the spindle of the machine, the accuracy standards of which correspond to the requirements for diamond cutting equipment
– circles on a metal bond are obligatory, and circles on an organic bond are desirable to use with cooling. 1-5% emulsion is recommended as a coolant.
– cleaning of the contaminated surface of the diamond-bearing layer on an organic bond is carried out with a bar of gray or white electrocorundum, and on a metal bond with a bar of green silicon carbide, with a grain size of one or two numbers larger than the grain size of a circle
The dressing (profiling) of the diamond-bearing layer of the circles is carried out to restore the accuracy of the shape, remove the defects of the working surface, and form the required profile. As a rule, straightening is carried out without cooling. The most effective type of dressing is grinding the diamond-bearing layer with abrasive wheels made of EB and KZ on a ceramic bond with a grain size one or two numbers higher than the grain size of a wheel made of STM. The hardness of wheels SM1-M1 for dressing tools on an organic bond and C1-CM1 for wheels with a metal bond, and the finer the grain size of the STM wheel, the softer the wheel should be used for dressing.
